Maria Luisa's new boutique inside Printemps

The Maria Luisa boutique, located at the heart of the second floor of Printemps’s fashion department, gives expression to a strong graphic universe based on an optical play of stripes and black and white checks. This concept, created by the Buttazzoni & Associés, is based on Maria Luisa’s visual identity. The surface area is divided into three sections : the main area where the clothes are displayed is more closed and then opens out onto two annexes on either side where the accessories are arranged on cubes at different levels.

These three areas are connected to each other through the visual pattern of the stripe on the carpet. The graphic elements are used on a variety of scales, as a frieze on the skirting boards, in the passageways and on the seating.

To soften and add a feminine touch to this atmosphere, the walls are covered with cream suede panels. The powder pink ceiling also contributes to this effect.

A cube-shaped changing room covered with mirrors on all four sides is loctaed in the middle of the space.

This intriguing and attractive setting embodies the desire for modernity and elegance that forms part of Printemps’s new strategy.

Maria Luisa’s fashion week windows: a leather-clad rock band, french fries, a “flowerbong” and digital art!

Natalia Brilli

The celebrated jewellery designer has gone one step further in her leather-covering obsession: come and discover her full-scale 100% black leather rock band in the window of the menswear store (more bones than flesh). Starting its tour in Paris, the installation will soon be seen in Brussels, New York’s Barneys, Miami’s Art Basel… Soon in a shop near you! Meanwhile, you can check her Dario Argento-inspired video made especially for Nick Knight’s ShowStudio www.showstudio.com/project/futuretense#29507 for the “100 new fashion designers project”.

Rowan Mersh
The London-based artist has created an interactive installation especially designed for Maria Luisa’s front window to celebrate the launch of the marialuisaparis.com website in collaboration with farfetch.com. From the 27tth of September to the 5th of October, have your picture taken and turned into digital art!

Jean-Paul Lespagnard
This young, exuberant Belgian designer was Hyères’ 23rd Festival biggest surprise with his OTT collection : Jacqueline, who works in a typical belgian ‘frites’ stand dreams of America and the possible outfits she would wear with her imaginary Texan cowboy clown lover. Watch out for Dolly Parton-infused glamour, red stripes, green sequins and french fries-inspired accessories… Check Jacqueline’s looks as worn by Yelle in her new video ‘Ce jeu’ - Jean-Paul is working on the french pop sensation’s looks for her next tour.

Alithia Spuri-Zampetti’s “Flowerbong”
Alithia just graduated from Central Saint Martin’s but got immediately snapped by Valentino. She received the Maria Luisa award at ITS#7 festival in Trieste this summer for her tailored silhouettes incorporating intricate details and, as one might discover with her “Flowerbong”, amazing and unexpected cut-out structures that were exhibited at the V&A museum in London and celebrated in the October issue of Dazed & Confused.
